Jedes Jahr führt die deutsche Veröffentlichung Auto Bild den branchenweit umfassendsten Reifentest durch, indem sie eine große Anzahl von Reifen nass und trocken bremst, um die besten zwanzig Reifen für einen vollständigen Reifentest zu finden.
Für die Sommersaison 2020 hat Auto Bild fünfzig Reifen im 245/45 R18 getestet, was uns einen hervorragenden Überblick über den UHP-Markt für 2020 gibt.
Während die Ergebnisse größtenteils wie erwartet sind, gibt es unten einige kleine Überraschungen, die es wert sind, erwähnt zu werden. Nokian schneidet beim Nass- und Trockenbremsen sehr gut ab und belegt den zweiten Gesamtrang. Überraschenderweise gewinnt der Bridgestone Potenza S001 den Nassbremstest, mit dem Bridgestone in der Vergangenheit zu kämpfen hatte. Dies weist darauf hin, dass Bridgestone ein ziemlich umfangreiches Update des Reifens durchgeführt hat. Es wird interessant sein zu sehen, wie es im vollständigen Test funktioniert.
Es ist auch schön, Kumho nach einigen Jahren wieder an der Spitze zu sehen, und die Budgetmarke Zeetex bringt einige der Premium-Konkurrenten, darunter Pirelli, auf den achtzehnten Platz.
